National Championships

Just when you think the hockey season is over National Championships continue. This year Saint's had a number of players selected in State teams both in Administration and as players. The first tournament to be completed was the National U15's where Sharyn Simpson and Kristin Muir were the coaching team that saw Queensland take out the silver medal. The second tournament was the National Veterans where Graham Wakefield (Wakey) coached the State over 35's to the Gold Medal and Narelle Richardson was successful in her first Veterans tournament in gaining shadow selection for the  Australian over 35's Team. To round off the season the National Invitational U13's Girls and Boys tournament was held with Rachel Ardern as Manager and Sophie Malowiecki in the State team.  The team played well with the girls coming away with a silver medal at the end of the tournament. Saint Andrews looks forward to another successful year for their players at National chamionships in 2011 and send congratulations to all of our players who were part of Queensland teams in 2010.
